MRKREME (Varagun Chongthanapipat)

He graduated at Pratt Institute on Master in Industrial design. However another side of him, he’s art is known for street art, art toy design, and painting. He is a Thai / Hongkong artist who is passionate about the style of vibrant colors of found objects in the mid 80s and the early 90s. He often find inspirations from objects that are personal to him which leads to a nostalgic feel in the presentation of his art. The main character design of his art evolves around a family of furry monsters with vibrant colors and unique personalities. The elements of found objects and monsters act as a medium for him to convey his messages for each particular painting, sculpture, toys, and murals. His art is often recognise as lowbrow, pop surrealism, and psychedelic.
